We stayed at MVEF for two weeks during our travels through Nepal. While we were at the farm we felt welcomed like part of the family and participated in traditional Nepali life. We helped to weed the gardens, build new vegetable plots, and prepare and cook typical Nepalese food (which was delicious). While working here, we still had plenty of time to explore the area and community, visiting local coffee houses and the two lakes (Begnas and Rupa). Govinda and his family are some of the friendliest and most welcoming bunch we’ve met while on our travels, and we would definitely recommend anyone coming to Nepal to stay and see what Nepali life and organic farming are all about! Also, be advised; watch out for Anish (the local terror!).
